Donald “Duck” Edwards is a well-established Hip Hop & R&B producer based out of Washington, DC.  After starting his own production and publishing companies “5 Hood Entertainment” & “DDRE Music, BMI”, he began generating a name for himself by working with independent artists in and outside the Washington, DC area.  He has built close relationships with radio station djs who showcase his tracks over the airwaves via commercials, background music or being spun in one of the Hip Hop mix shows been heard as far away as the state of Florida and back up to New York.  He has forged relationships with some of the city’s most popular figures in radio such DJ Flexx & Rane of WPGC, DJ Rico of WPGC, DJ Iran and P Stew of WKYS.  He also developed relationships at points in his career with some of Washington’s own industry figures such as Chucky Thompson, DJ Kool & Nonchalant.

In 1997, Duck played a major role in helping organize the Bystorm Entertainment/Arista Records artist search in Washington, DC, Maryland & Virginia.  He worked closely with Denise Borrows of Mark Pitts Management to organize one the most successful events of its time.  After the success of the event, Duck was extended an invitation by none other than Mark Pitts to further pursue a career in the music industry as a Hip Hop & R&B producer. Unfortunately, the company started to experience problems as a label.

Duck decided to develop his own artists when he met O’City of Oklahoma city, OK and SlickEast of Brooklyn, NY.  Over the past couple of years, this unit has recorded countless head bangin’ songs one of which can be found use a background music on the Sports Report on Russ Parr Morning Show. As a unit, they have ripped stages in venues such as Club Speed in NYC, NY, The Convention Center in VA Beach, VA at the annual car show, Club Millennium in Winston Salem, NC at the CIAA after party and the annual summer outdoor Chesapeake Bay Concert outside of Baltimore.  As a response to the demand of the public, Duck decided to release four of the unit’s head bangin’ songs on the 2005 Street Propaganda Mixtape, which sold over 5000 copies in five months lead by the units single “Let’s Ride” produced by Duck.

At present, Duck is a part one the industries most prestigious Entertainment/Artist management firms along the side of Carlin N’watts, CEO whom he’s had a blossoming working relationship for the past three years.  In those three years, the firm has developed talents from the rock sensation Jonah Brockman to the Urban Pop star KB.  Duck’s goal is to propel the careers of the entire roster of artists to a platform hardly reached by most and establish himself along with 118 Management as one the fore runners of the new millennium’s music industry.
