Rumi’s life is the story of inner values and outer achievements; the story of challenges, adventure, patience, love and endless passion. It’s about a young man developing into a multi-talented, international pop artist. This is about a young musical genius earning his place in entertainment history by forever changing the way the world sees Persian music.
Rumi was born in the great Persian land of Tehran and developed his skills as a Singer, Musician, Songwriter, Photographer and Poet whose multi-talents also include playing the guitar and piano. His talents have been nurtured and influenced greatly by his parents.
His love for poetry is a gift passed down from Rumi’s mother who at tender age of 5, developed an affinity for reciting ancient Persian poetry. Rumi’s father also played a paramount role in enlightening Rumi about the aesthetics of photography and the visual arts. However, it is the world of cinema that gave Rumi two diplomas (in Film Directing and Film Acting) and empowered his skills in image and dramatic arts.
“Beauty of Nothing!” - Rumi’s debut poetry and photography publication – was launched in September 2004. The book artistically portrays Rumi’s innermost thoughts and visions in a way that captivates readers worldwide. Rumi’s exclusive style of photography has brought him international critical acclaim. To date, Rumi’s professional photographic ventures include six elite, solo exhibitions around the world.
At age12, taking music theory and vocal private lessons with an accredited university instructor- Dr. Nick, developed his raw, natural talent and passion for music. The intensive program was followed by training with Glen Perry, a well-known American musician of the 1990s.
Rumi’s dream was to promote Persian music on the international music scene. His clear objective inspired and directed his every single move during the production of his album. He cleverly gathered and composed some beautiful melodies from Persia and the Mediterranean, producing them with global sound that made it his winning card.
Many found his music somewhat strange but not the receptive record executives at EMI Music; as they initiated and accompanied Rumi in an effort to cross over Persian music to the international music scene. On the 22nd of June 2005, Rumi signed a worldwide recording contract with EMI Music for his debut album “Winning Card”.
Rumi is now considered the first Persian / International crossover artist ever signed with EMI Music. His debut album “Winning Card” has broken through the mainstream music market and rocked the world with his sensational voice and musical ability.

WOW GREAT CD
I found this CD at Virgin Records in Dubai. I bought it and soooooo happy I did. Rumi is Iranian and is a fabulous pop singer. The music makes you want to dance. I don't understand the lyrics, but who cares. His voice and the music send me to heaven
